kara teasdaleKara is originally from Meadville, PA. She moved to Carolina Beach in March 2008. Kara is married with a new puppy.

Kara graduated from Pennsylvania College of Technology in Williamsport, PA. She joined OT Solutions April 2008.

Special practice interests include: Sensory based practice, especially the birth-3 population

She has specialized pediatric training in: How Does Your Engine Run Alert Program, Interactive Metronome, and specialized TEACCH teachniques for children on the Autism Spectrum

Her hobbies include: Kara enjoys going to the beach, camping, and spending time with family and friends.

Ashley Niggebrugge

ashley niggebruggeAshley is originally from Bear, Delaware. She moved to Wilmington to attend UNCW where she played softball for three years. She joined OT Solutions June 2008 after completing her clinical internship at OT Solutions.

Ashley graduated from UNCW with a B.S. Degree in Exercise Science. During her time at UNCW she volunteered at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in the out patient Pediatric Occupational Therapy Department where she fell in love with the OT profession. She then attended Philadelphia University where she obtained a Masters Degree in Occupational Theraphy.

Special practice interests include: Early intervention, sensory processing disorders, and Autism Spectrum Disorders

She has specialized pediatric training in: Alert Program, Handwriting Without Tears, Therapeutic Listening, specialized TEACCH techniques for autism spectrum disorders, and sign language. Ashley is also learning Spanish!

Her hobbies include: Ashley enjoys traveling, spending time with family and friends, the beach, boating, hot yoga, bike riding, and running the Wrightsville Beach loop.

Something interesting about Ashley: She comes from a big loving family and is the oldest of 6 children. Her grandparents are originally from Holland and she has been to Europe to visit family and friends for the past two years. In the spring of 2009 Ashley traveled to Romania and Greece. She hopes to make a trip to Spain in the fall of 2010.

Mandy Oestreich

mandy oestreichMandy grew up in Washington, NC. She has spent most of her life near the coast and enjoys being near the water. She moved to Wilmington in October 2009 and joined OT Solutions.

Mandy attended the College of Charleston and East Carolina University where she received her BS in Occupational Therapy. She has eight years of experience with the majority of her experience in pediatrics.

Special practice interests include: Sensory Processing and Autism Spectrum Disorders

She has specialized pediatric training in: Sensory Processing Disorders, Therapeutic Listening, DIR/Floortime, and Interactive Metronome.

Her hobbies include: Spending time with family, boating, and enjoying the outdoors.
