Jennifer Phillips

Jennifer is originally from Sun Praire, Wisconsin.
After obtaining her Bachelor of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy from University of Wisconsin in 1997, Jennifer and Chad set out to Wilmington, NC in search of a new adventure!
Jennifer married Chad Phillips in September, 2000. After working in New Hanover, Pender, and Brunswick counties in the home health setting, Jennifer recognized a significant need for pediatric occupational therapy within the local community, and so together Jennifer and Chad opened OT Solutions Inc. in 2001.
Jennifer and Chad have made their home in Leland, NC.
Special practice interests include: Working with families and children on the autism spectrum. Jennifer also has a special interest and advanced training in pediatric feeding.
She has specialized pediatric training in: The Ready Approach, Handwriting Without Tears, Sensory Processing Disorders, TEACCH, DIR/Floortime, Feeding and Swallowing, Early Intervention, treatment of babies, mCIMT for hemiplegia
Her hobbies include: pottery and painting, reading, any live outdoor music, travel, yoga, and skiing (on land and in water)
Crystal Powell

Crystal is originally from Wilmington, NC. She now lives in Shallotte, NC with her husband William. They have a two year old son, Garrett and three daushands, Chloee, Suzie, and D-O-G.
Crystal graduated from UNC - Wilmington in 2002 with a B.S. in Social Work. Prior to joining OT Solutions Crystal worked in the school system and with at-risk youth in group homes.
Her hobbies include: Crystal enjoys traveling, reading, the beach, and spending time with her son and family.
Ashley Westfall
Office Assistant
Ashley is originally from Fayetteville, NC. She moved to Wilmington in September 2006 to attend Cape Fear Community College. Ashley lives with her boyfriend, Paul, and their kitten, Lucy.
Ashley joined OT Solutions in October 2008.
Her hobbies include: Ashley enjoys the beach, going home to spend time with family, and spending time with her boyfriend.
Seth Berkebile

Seth is from Johnston, PA.
He has lived in Wrightsville Beach for the past five years. He has been in the Wilmington area for a total of six years.
Seth graduated from Duquesne University in 2003 with a Masters Degree in OT. Prior to joining OT Solutions in 2004 Seth worked with children and adults at Onslow Memorial Hospital.
Special practice interests include: Feeding and OT in non-traditional setting (New Hanover County Juvenile Day Treatment Center)
He has specialized pediatric training in: DIR/Floortime. Seth also has a strong feeding background from The Children's Institute (Pittsburg, PA) "Functional Feeding Program"
His hobbies include: Surfing, fishing/fly fishing, sports in general
Something interesting about Seth: He is trying to learn Spanish and loves to travel whenever possible.
Kate Sangster

Kate is from North Kingstown, RI.
She has lived in Wilmington since 2007. Her parents live in RI and she has an older sister who is a physical therapist in Hawaii.
Kate graduated from Boston University in Massachusetts January 2004 with a B.S. in Occupational Therapy. After working for two years she decided to go back to school. She graduated from Tufts University in Medford, MA May 2007 with a MS in Occupational Therapy and a concentration in Pediatrics. Kate has been with OT Solutions since 2007.
Special practice interests include: Pervasive Developmental Disabilities, assistive technology and schools services
She has specialized pediatric training in: Alert Program course
Her hobbies include: She's a sports enthusiatist who loves to watch and play football, field hockey and beach volleyball. She loves backpacking and traveling and has driven cross country twice and traveled all over Europe, she also enjoys spending time with family and friends.
Something interesting about Kate: She was an Olympic Torch Bearer in 1996 relay to Atlanta. Her grandfather who is a cancer survivor of 28 years nominated her for the honor. Six years later she nominated him to be a Torch Bearer and he carried the torch on its way to the 2002 Olympics in Salt Lake City.
Karen Sblendorio

Karen is from Byron, NY.
She moved to Wilmington 11 years ago with her husband Mike, who is also an OT.
Karen graduated from Keuka College with a Bachlor of Science in OT in 1997. She also has a Bachlor of Science Degree in Biology from Plattsburg State. Karen lives in Wilmington with her husband Mike and her 2 sons Jake and Seth.
Special practice interests include: Karen has a special interest in treating children with vestibular disorders and children on the autism spectrum.
She has specialized pediatric training in: Therapeutic Listening, Handwriting Without Tears, DIR/Floortime, Strain - Counterstrain Techniques, Vestibular Habilitation from the Core, and Sensory Processing
Her hobbies include: She enjoys spending time with her family and enjoying the outdoors. She also enjoys refinishing antique furniture.
Jennifer Holmes

Jennifer is originally from Southern California. She moved to the Wilmington area in the begining of 2008. Jennifer joined OT Solutions in July 2008. Jennifer and her husband are both Occupational Therapists. They have two children, a teenager and a toddler.
Jennifer graduated from Loma Linda University in 1999 with a B.S. in Occupational Therapy. She has been working in pediatrics since graduating.
Special practice interests include: Autism and Sensory Processing Disorders
She has specialized pediatric training in: Sensory Processing, Interactive Metronome Certification, Handwriting Without Tears, Feeding Therapy, extensive autism coursework, and motor learning
Her hobbies include: Jennifer enjoys spending time with family, reading, going to the beach, and keeping up with her two very busy children.
